Republic of Belarus investment program

Belarus Water Sector Framework project, (credit on investment in water supply and water treatment), accepted by Bank in 2015, now finally signed. Proposed project – is pushing the envelope of conception including state loan which is provided for vodokanals in cities in whole Belarus.

Belarus Water Sector Framework project was created within the framework of the activities on environment protection, i.e. Black and Baltic Sea basins and improvement and modernization of the existing waste water treatment systems in Belarus municipalities, most part of which was built in 70th years of the last century.

Program of European Bank funding of the Republic of Belarus directed on implementation of three stages of reconstruction and modernization of existing as well as designing and construction of the new waste water treatment facilities.

Projects represents development of feasibility study for each municipality. Benefits of the present project includes not only positive ecological effect, but economical profit from using new and modernized equipment. 

1. Waste water treatment facilities reconstruction in cities of Vitebsk, Grodno, Baranovichi, project of 2010.
2. Subprojects within the second wave of the Belarus Water Sector Framework project: in city of Lida, Polotsk, Orsha, 2015-2016.
3. Feasibility studies for 8 cities in 4 oblasts of Belarus. For Minsk oblast – Kletsk, Luban, Fanipol, for Brest oblast – Baranovichi, Bereza, Ivanovo, For Gomel oblast – Ghlobin, Mogilev oblast – Shklov, project of 2017-2018.
